Like every other job a Business Analysts also have a chunk of work to accomplish on a daily basis. That includes attending team meetings, planning, analysis, documentation, and working on the challenges, reviews and many more. An agile business analyst has to handle a variety of work. We will discuss the typical day in the BA’s life.
A day starts with the stand-up meeting with the technical team where he needs to discuss the current progress and the issues of the project. Here A business analyst clears the doubts of the application requirements and narrows down the requirements in clusters to get the exact idea to the technical team. The strong domain knowledge helps a business analyst to find out the issues quickly and give the exact solution to the problem or what could be done to get a more effective solution?
In the same way, the BA has to discuss to clients and key stakeholders the progress of the project. The same way business analyst needs to understand the more about the business so that he/she will more clarity and the same he can communicate with the technical team.
Remember a BA is a person who fills the gap between the client, stakeholders, and technical team. So Effective communication skills and other soft skills are the necessity of this job profile.
After working parallelly with both teams, the documentation has to be done. The different documents have to prepare from time to time like business cases, user stories, business requirement plans, stakeholder management plans, etc. On day to day basis, these documents have to review and have made necessary changes accordingly.
Analysis, Problem-solving, structuring documents, understanding the business needs effectively and communicating all the business requirements exactly with teams are different challenges of this job role. Gradually you can achieve expertise in this multitasking role.
